Ladies in White in Havana

Some 60 partisans of the Cuban regime held the Ladies in White hostage for three hours, preventing them from marching through the streets of Havana for the second straight Sunday.

The Ladies, who in the end were forced to get into a city bus, went to mass at the Church of Santa Rita the previous Sunday, and were getting ready for their usual sunday march along Quinta Avenue when they were informed they could not march.
